Photo Story
Part of the application to Cal. State Northridge's Film Program is to submit 12 photos that tell a linear story about a moral dilemma or problem.
Summary: Michael is already running late for his anniversary dinner with Megan at 5:30 PM when he realizes that he forgot to get the flowers. As he runs out of his house, he spots some flowers in his neighbors backyard. He sneaks into the backyard and moves quickly so that he is not spotted by the neighbors. As he starts to run out of their yard with the flowers in hand, he trips over a rock and falls into their pool where he is unable to swim and later drowns. Later on, Megan is almost ready when she hears a knock at the front door. Instead of Michael standing at the door, it is the police who then inform her of the terrible news. The police officer offers her flowers for her loss.
Shot by me on a Sony A7iii and edited using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Grandma Series
Those that are close to me know that I’ve probably talked their ear off about how much of a role model my grandmother was to me. She lived a rich life - persevering through her challenges and celebrating in her victories. She stood up against injustice and was a woman that showed love to anyone who crossed her path. Many of the causes that she devoted her life to, I have now adopted and stand for as well. Not only was she the embodiment of a loving human, she also was the grandmother that everyone wishes they had. I shared so many wonderful memories with her, most of which centered around our mutual love for music and travel. She would always come to every single one of my recitals and she would always send me books and articles about our next travel destinations. Although I wish that she was on this earth just a little longer, I know that she set me up to live a life filled with just as much purpose as her own.

These photos were the last photos I took of my grandmother when I visited her at her home in rural Georgia. My grandmother, Brenda Vail passed away on March 4, 2021. This series is devoted to her and the rich life she pursued.
